So, most of the time I've very grateful for the men and women who dedicate their lives to teaching children. It's an important way for our society to progress and continue to evolve towards a better tomorrow.
But sometimes teachers forget that they aren't the only ones who decide what's best for kids. I'm always amazed/frustrated when I read stories where the teachers did not ask for any sort of parental input or engagement. I don't think that teaching should happen in a silo.
Anyway, read this story and tell me what you think.

That's like sometimes when I have a co-worker call my wife and tell her I died in a car accident by the office. Then I call her and I'm like "haha! just kidding". Only, I'm really dead because she killed me instead the accident.
That article sounds like a really twisted practical joke. Not very appropriate, either.
How could they have thought that was a good idea?? It's horrible.
I have known schools which, after much communication with parents, held practice runs of lockdowns and evacuations. Things where the kids were able to talk about and practice what to do without being terrified.
that's some very poor judgement...
